Avery Adam, R.Ac, B.Sc, graduated from Pacific Rim College in Victoria, BC with the highest honours and upon passing provincial registration exams she became certified with the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of British Columbia. Originally from Winnipeg, Manitoba, her interest in the body began at a young age and especially when she sustained injuries playing high-level volleyball. After completing Bachelors of Science in Environmental Sciences and Geography degrees and spending time working on organic apple orchards her desire to learn alternative medicine outgrew her desire for field work and she followed that passion to study Western herbal medicine on Vancouver Island. It was there she began getting consistent acupuncture and became blown away with the effects and felt truly aligned with the holistic philosophy. After this introduction into Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) she was motivated to begin her career in acupuncture.

Avery gently guides each patient towards achieving health goals through skillful needling and a strong desire to allow all of her patients to feel they are heard, can unwind and flourish into their authentic selves. She believes that a customized diet and lifestyle practices along with treatments can profoundly awaken one’s innate ability to heal.

Avery’s special areas of interest include reproductive health, mental and emotional well being, digestive health and facial rejuvenation acupuncture.

When not working, Avery can be found exploring the city, spending time with her rescue dog, Oats, travelling, camping and generally enjoying the outdoors with loved ones.
